During a trip to the Northwest Territories youll be exposed to dramatic waterfalls, frozen tundra, and towering forests of spruce and pine. The area is also known for its dramatic granite peaks.
When fishing northwest territories, youre so far north youll see wildlife and that you would never be able to see anywhere else. Polar bears, seals, and beluga whales are all visible in their natural habitat. Its also the home of Wood Buffalo National Park. Established in 1922 to protect the largest herd bison, you can now see the last, free-roaming bison herd in the world there.
The frigid arctic water is the perfect home for arctic char. There are many great lodges locates around Mills Lake, Deep Bay, and Mackenzie River. These waters are packed with pickerel, pike, grayling and white fish. You can also check out Great Bear Lake, the lake where the worlds largest Lake Trout was caught.

In addition to fishing northwest territories, youll also be able to hike, kayak, raft, or try arctic horse sledding. Its also the place to see the Aurora Borealis, or Northern Lights.
